prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

6th Leg of my Farewell Tour of the West Coast. Port Ludlow, Washington to Roseburg, Oregon.

Today's trip will be about 400 miles. I am stopping for lunch with my nephew Mark Johnson in Oregon City, Oregon. I used to stop there and visit my sister Dallas, who lived in Oregon City. She recently passed away. She was a favorite sister. She was the last one living of my eight siblings. My thoughts will be on her today.

I bid a fond farewell to the Olympic Peninsula. My thanks to my grandson Mark Wright for the month loan of his home. He got home safe and sound last night.
