prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

11th Leg of My Farewell Tour of the West Coast. Coalinga to Dana Point.

A little under 300 miles today. Will stop in Van Nuys (in the San Fernando Valley) to visit Novelle Monson. She is the widow of my brother George. Years ago she was on dialysis. She was one of the very few who have able to stop dialysis once the treatment has been started. Unfortunately a few months ago she had to restart the treatment. However she only has to go twice a week. Almost everyone has to go three times a week.

I will be at the home of my traveling buddy, and daughter, Nancy Ann in Dana Point this evening.
