The Pequot Indian War was the result of years of murders and raids by indians. I assume that they were not happy about New England being settled by others. The Pequots had indian enemies also. Some of these indian enemies of the Pequot helped the colonialists. The war consisted of a raid on the Peguot village when 700 to 800 Pequots were killed. Survivors were sold into slavery. This crushing defeat ended any more problems with the Pequot Indians for some 350 years. Then they opened the Foxwoods Casino. This casino is one of the largest and most successful of all of the casinos in the world and takes many scalps.
