prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

My air conditioned track.

I am walking a mile in the morning at the Cook Park, often with Rhonda, the dog lady of Lake Darbonne. Then after lunch I go to the indoor tack at the Lambright Athletic Center. After my student body card has been read I turn right to go to the track. On Mon-Wed-Fri I turn left and go to the swimming pool.

It is about 18 times around to a mile. I hate to exercise. I have Sirius Radio on my iphone now. I listen to an hour of BBC news. They often broadcast serious, offbeat, world wide news that keeps me occupied for the dreary walk. Did you know that there are Muslin transvestites in Burma?

It is sometimes interesting to look down into the floor below and see the machines in use. Sometimes I see members of the Center Staff helping students do weight lifting. Some of the pretty girls are lifting a lot of weight. Some people even jump while they are holding big dumb bells.

  1. Walking has been very very good to you, I think. Just don't start jumping up and down with weights. :)
