prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Day Five of trip to Europe.

Saturday, May 19.  Today's excitement is a train ride from Bath to London, then a taxi to our hotel. We will be there for five days.

On our tour yesterday we drove by a white horse on a hill side.

I found out (google?) that there are eight horses on hillsides in this area. The top soil here is chalk. Clear away the grass and you have a white horse. Some of the figures are 3000 years old. But some were made in the 1700s. The old ones were made by digging ditches around the outline.
