prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Feeding critters around here.

John Adams lives next door with my daughter Kerry. John married her 36 years ago. He is retired now but has built a busy life feeding many different critters.

Every so often he puts 200 pounds of corn in a deer feeder located just down from his deck for the neighborhood deer and any passing by.

He has numerous feeders for birds and squirrels. He feeds possums and raccoons with dog food on his deck. Just outside the sliding glass door by his recliner. We have noticed bluejays eating the dog food.

His garden has been visited by three baby armadillos.

Midnight the family dog eats at an automatic feeder filled by John.

Kerry feeds the three live in house cats, Felix, Carmel, and Belle.

Three rabbits get morning and evening cabbage.

The three quail get fed.

The latest addition is four chickens.

Don't forget the Koi.

When John is out of town I try to feed the critters. They are fed twice a day.
