prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Ruston's Third Annual Flag Day Observance and Old Flag Disposal.

The program is held at the Forrest Lawn Memorial Park located behind the Owen Funeral Home on Highway 80.

I have been to these three Flag Day Ceremonies. It gets better each year. Owen donated a space for the flag burning and ceremony. This worthwhile civic program is largely due to the cooperation of Owen, the Boy Scouts, and the work and foresight of Commander J D Harper of the Ruston chapter of the VFW. J D is to be commended.
