prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Track meet at Ruston High School.

My oldest great grandson, 13 year old Ethan Newberry ran the 1600 and the 800 at the track meet today. I am so proud of him. He was second in the 1600 and first in the 800. His fans from Ruston and West Monroe were there.

Coach from the Jefferson Corner Liars Club fired the starting gun.

So you know that the gun was shot at the right time!

Ethan showed true grit and running skill today. His fans are proud of him!
