Prune picker

Prune picker is a Depression Era term for a native Californian. It was not a complement. In the thirties when I was a boy there were times that I was the only prune picker in a group. Everyone else had been born somewhere else.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! and remarks.

I want to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

I have enjoyed doing a daily blog since April 10, 2010. This is the 289th blog I have prepared. Blogging makes me think, go places, take pictures, and gives me a place to archive many thoughts and images. It allows me to communicate every day to people that I love and who mean so much to me.

I hope that you enjoy reading and looking at my blog. If you have any comments or suggestions about my blog I would like see them. There is a place at the bottom of every blog for you to add a comment.

When I started blogging my head was shaved. I am now a long haired blogger. I weighed 253 pounds. I had just started on Nutrisystem and by June 12 I was down to 224 pounds, my lowest weight of the year.  I am now back up to 249 pounds and will go back on Nutrisystem soon.
