prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

John rescued a deer dog.

John and I visited the deer lease the other day.

We were approached by this poor lost deer dog. We had seen hunters using deer dogs on the way to the lease. You could tell this guy was a deer dog by the GPS strapped to his neck.

Good John found some deer sausage and fed the dog.

Then John put the dog in the pickup bed. We drove out on the road and found the owner of the dog. They were glad to see each other. Deer dogs can be worth several hundred dollars. I thought that John had done a nice thing! He is nice to dogs and old geezers.
