prune picker
This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Ride to the Wall.
Every year thousands of motorcyclists participate in a Ride to the Wall. Starting on the West Coast they form a very large group that visits the Vietnam Memorial on the Mall in Washington, DC. John, Kerry and I were driving over to West Monroe just before the group was due to drive through Ruston. It is a custom to line the overpasses on the freeway and wave at the motorcyclists. This picture is of the Choudrant overpass taken as we drove by. The town of Choudrant is just east of Ruston. They really participated in the flag waving.
