prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Adult Exercise Class Fitness Test.

At times the adult exercise class students have various physical parameters measured and are tested for grip, balance, reaction time, and agility.

This is the old Prune Picker taking the agility test. While keeping knees straight you are to lean forward and push the metal object on the green table away from you. The lady before me pushed the object more than half way across the table. You can see that I can not even touch the object and my knees are bent a little. My grade was the remark "can not touch it". That is a grade below zero. Clearly I should work on my agility.

I did a little better on the hand grip test. Above zero anyway.

Students taking the reaction time test.

John Roebuck ending a balance test. I did not do any better.
