prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

North Louisiana Bluegrass Club Meeting

Yesterday afternoon (1/14/12) I went to Arcadia for a couple hours of bluegrass music.

I am glad I did. This young man really belted out some songs. Notice the thumbs in his pockets. I guess that solved the question of what do you do with your hands while singing.

These folks were good,

The group "Grassfire" are always excellent. Their forty minutes really makes the trip worthwhile.

Unfortunately, I had to leave the bluegrass early so I could watch some of the Saint's football game before I went to another double header basketball game at six.
