prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

I go under the knife!

Today was the day for my skin cancer surgery. John Adams drove me to the clinic. It was 73 miles away in Shreveport. I required a ride home after surgery and John volunteered. Thanks John.

Dr Daniel Knight did the surgery.

Dr Daniel does a nice bandage,

Nurses Monica and Kim prepped me and unprepped me. They were so pleasant and efficient. They even helped me pull my trousers back on. I do not understand why I had to take all my clothes off for surgery on the top of my head. I have to take it easy for 24 hours and go for a followup in a week.
