prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Trip Report Day 1.

What a long day. My car and I spent 16 hours getting from Ruston, Louisiana to Springfield, Illinois. I was not sleeping so I left home at 2:30 am. I had to stop and nap every hour to 2 hours. I probably slept for three to four hours on the trip. Essentially I got a nights sleep during my drive here. I drove through Jackson, Mississippi because I thought that the interstate would be an easier drive.  But it was a hundred miles further. I drove 760 miles. That is too much for one day.

Notice how close I am to Starbucks. It is in the lobby of the hotel.

  1. That's a long drive just to get a cup of coffee.
