prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Yesterday's Meeting of the Northeast Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society.

We had a good meeting. I am glad that I was there. Deanne Groves, my teacher from classes that I took on Life Story writing introduced six people with some items to show and tell about.
Deanne and a display of Life Story Material
This Lady had an very old photo of her great grandfather with a Louisiana Fire Department.

This Lady had an ancient cigar press. Like her father used in Wisconsin.

This Gentleman displayed his fine collection of beer cans.
This Gentleman showed his Life Story and his wife's in booklet form.
This Lady (who is the club president) showed an old toy taxicab. The Lady below showed her mother's lace work.
