prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Chennault Aviation & Military Museum.

After visiting the VA Clinic I stopped by the Chennault Museum. What a nice place. Friendly helpful staff and very well laid out. The displays were very good.  There is even a five minute movie. I learned that the airfield where the Museum is located was named after a pioneer Navy airman, Augustus James Selman. This is where Delta Airlines started. The Monroe Airport is located here.

General Chennault always seemed like a far away mystic hero to me. It was interesting to learn more about him.

I recommend a visit.
