prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Some bird watching and visiting.

Yesterday, Friday, I saw these birds.

John's ducks. They sure are pretty.

Local buzzards, Not so pretty.

I went to lunch at Taco Bell over on California Avenue. My dear friend AB had sent me some delicious cup cakes to Jefferson Corner (via her niece Kirsten) and her art shop is across the street from Taco Bell.

I went over to visit and thank her for the cakes. (Thanks AB)

Only Mr AB (David) was there. AB was home getting ready for Thanksgiving. David and I had a nice visit.

John Leland Mathewes lives nearby, so I paid him a visit.

John can walk a short distance without a cane or walker. Making progress. Looking forward to seeing him back in the Tech swimming pool!

On the way home I stoped at Starbucks. Had a visit with Miss Doris (Waffle House friend and a professor at GSU).  I shot a selfie (am I with it or not?) and she was in it. We sure can visit!
