prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

The finches are back!

And so are the chickadees and titmouses. These pictures have only finches but there have been chickadees and titmouses. I will keep trying to get a picture of them.

John put this feeder up right by my porch. I can see it by turning my head when I am in my chair. It is an understatement to say that I enjoy birdwatching. Thanks, John.

  3. Hello Mr. Chuck!
Dave and also love bird watching. We have been getting TONS of robins at our house the past week or two. It looks like a robin army is mobilizing on our lawn every morning! We have also been getting several pine warblers right in front of our front porch. They are pretty little yellowish birds that, as their name implies, live in pine forests. We are waiting on our yearly influx of cedar waxwings. They only seem to hang around for a short time but they are one of my favorite birds. Have you ever spotted a painted bunting? We get the indigo buntings a good bit but I have never seen a painted one. Maybe this year...

    Happy Birding!
