Prune picker

Prune picker is a Depression Era term for a native Californian. It was not a complement.

My life has changed.

I desire a strong cup of fresh coffee quite often. In addition to Jefferson Corner coffee and instant coffee that I make at home I stop by the local Starbucks to get a cup of their Pike Place coffee several times a week. (5 to 6 times a week). This adds up to an appreciable sum of money and the time to get to the Starbucks every month. I was aware of the cost and trouble but was addicted. (I have lots of addictions.)

Recently my son in law John received a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas that brews a hot fresh single cup of coffee with no mess and not much trouble. It uses single sealed cups of ground coffee that are very convenient and makes good coffee. I discovered that the Starbucks sells Pike Place coffee in the Kuerig cups.

I found a Keurig coffee maker  smaller than Johns and at a reasonable price. Now I make Starbucks Pike Place coffee at home. It sure is nice. My life has changed! Hot fresh Starbucks coffee on the kitchen counter.
