prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Jewette took me to the Woodshed!

This nice lady came down to Jefferson Corner and opened it up at 5 am of the first day of 2013. Jewette and I were leaving for Mountain View, Arkansas after breakfast. Rhonda hopes that my trip to the Woodshed will do me some good.

Jewette took me on a five hour ride to the Woodshed.

Jewette welcomed me to the Woodshed. It is the name of his cabin 42 in Mountain View.

A little snow left in the Walmart parking lot.  There was nine inches of snow recently. Much of it is still on the ground.

Jewette pulled the cover back for me and placed the TV remote in a convenient spot.

The front room of the Woodshed.

This is Allison at the Rainbow Cafe in downtown Mountain View. Every town in America should have a Rainbow Cafe.

A little snack. Breaded pork tenderloin in gravy, potatoes O'Brian, eggs over medium, and wheat toast.

I wanted this chair but it would not fit in Jewette's car.

The pretty courthouse in Mountain View, Arkansas. This is the picking and grinning capital of the world.
