prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Chimacum Backyard.

This was our backyard at the Escapee RV Park in Chimacum, Washington in the early 1990s. Jackie is watching a doe and two fawns. The fawns are looking at me. One time I was sitting behind the shed (the structure on the left)) when a doe and two fawns walked by about 15 feet from me. As the Park developed the deer got scarce. The little trees in the picture near the deer are now 30 feet tall.
Jackie and I enjoyed our Chimacum home for 17 years. This was the longest we ever lived in one spot in our married life.
