prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Wonderful use of Mardi Gras beads.

Before the cello-harp music last night i looked at some art in the hall next door. It is really something. The artist Stephan Wanger has created a vast array of pictures using beads from Mardi Gras. It is worth going to see. It is in the Events part of the Lincoln Library. These pictures below are all made with just beads. Really nice recycling.

Good old Tabasco sauce.

Rosedown.

Large mural of New Orleans from the River.

I think LSU stands for Louisiana State University. It is really a big deal here.
