prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Bawconville Redneck Christmas Parade.

I went to the fifth annual Bawconville Redneck Christmas Parade this morning. Bawconville is south of West Monroe and is considered by locals  to be a redneck place. That is really something in a place like NE Louisiana which kinda is a redneck area.

The parade specializes in utility trailers full of various rednecks. But it also has wrecker trucks, horses motorcycles , and you name it.

There are many more pictures of the parade here. I enjoyed the parade very much. I felt that everyone was laid back, friendly, and having a good time. I had never seen, up close, such large wrecker trucks.
