prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Jana Jae, great fiddler and entertainer.

Jana started the fiddle fest at Grove, Oklahoma that I attended last week. I was a guest of Larry Hendricks who was a contestant at the fest. Jana is the reason there is a fest at  Grove. She was once on Hee haw and was a member of Buck Owen's Band. A large part of the festival was the callaberation with Jana of her mother and stepfather. Her step father is an extrodanary guitar player and her mother played the violin so great. Her mother will be 90 in July. I think that the three of them are great together.

The following is miscellaneous pictures of the festival.

The man in the yellow shirt is playing the bones. Best bone player ever

Jana is the best fiddler I have ever heard and she is a great entertainer.
