prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Studying like mad for my trip to England and France.

I have google to help me study for the trip that my daughter Nancy and I are taking on May 15. (That is 83 days from today, but as Nancy stated "who is counting?")

I have been furnished several travel books by Nancy and grand daughter Joy.

Notice the book marks. Three books on England and two on France. It is fun and exciting going over the walks and sights ahead! I read for awhile and then I google for awhile. I am learning a lot of history.

It's not even possible to see everything and that can put a lot of pressure on a traveler. I do like to plan ahead and

  4. Oops, things froze up before I could finish my thought. I like to study and plan ahead so I won't miss something I would have loved to see if only I'd known. I rarely get to everything I've planned but I still come home with an amazing amount of memories.

  5. I was hoping that we would have a day or two where we just laid back and acted like citizens. There is so much. I have the British Library on a must see list. So much to see in London. Just have to miss a lot. Might plan to go back in a few years if I am so lucky to be up to it.
