prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

North Louisiana Bluegrass Club meeting yesterday.

It was the second Saturday already again and time for the monthly bluegrass meeting in Arcadia.

These bands played,

Jerry Lowe also plays the bluegrass harmonica. I was late and missed the Jammers.

My favs, Grassfire were at the meeting.

NFHQT were four guitars with a bass. Their gig was almost all instrumental. They played "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Not bluegrass but very pretty.

The Main Street Connection finished the show. They were great.

  1. Unusual but not all that uncommon to see an electric base guitar. I love blue and have my satellite radio permantly tuned to the bluegrass station.
