prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Chimacum Airplane

Monte Stimmel, a good friend, who was a neighbor at the Evergreen Coho Resort is busy building an airplane from a kit. It is a Thatcher CX-4 with a 2400 cc Hummel engine. It is all metal and a one seater.

Monte is building the plane at the Jefferson County International Airport. It is going to be some fine airplane. I noticed that the hanger where Monte is building the plane is as clean as a pin. The floor is spotless and so are all his tools.
