prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

How to eat crawfish.

Crawfish or mud bugs are like shrimp in shape but have a different bite and taste. You grab the crawfish like the person in the pic. Then you twist off the head. Some people suck on the head before placing the head in the trash dish. Then you remove or strip off one or two segments of the body covering at the neck. Some of the body is then exposed. Pinch and pull on that body while you squeeze the tail. Once you get the hang of it the body will pop out of the body covering. You now have a bite of crawfish in your hand. Dip it in sauce and enjoy!

Repeat 50 to 100 times.
