prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Jean Hammack, Genealogist.

Jean has recently moved from Missouri to be with a daughter in Ruston. I met her at the Senior Lunch. She mentioned that she had 300,000 names on her family tree program on her computer. I was so impressed. I asked her if I could visit her, see her computer program, and talk about genealogy. I visited her yesterday after lunch.

The arrow is pointing at the number of people in her tree. 309,785. I asked Jean how long she had been working on her family tree and she said fifty years.

Jean has inspired me to go deeper into genealogy. Thank you, Jean. She has some Munsons on her tree. We must be cousins.
