prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

North Louisiana Spring Bluegrass Festival.

The festival was held in the Thomas Jason Lingo Community Center in Oak Grove, Louisiana. The festival was three days but I only attended the Saturday afternoon session. I saw four wonderful groups.

The Gary Waldrep Band.

Bluegrass Martins. Father Martin played the bass for the band, which were almost all his children.

Clancey Ferguson from Mountain Home, Arkansas. She is only 13 but dominated the stage. She sang, danced, and played the fiddle.

Rank Strangers. All self taught, all very good.
