prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Lincoln Parish Senior Citizen Expo.

This affair is often referred to as the Sheriff's Senior Rodeo. It starts a 8 am with a continental breakfast and ends at noon with a nice meal. In between the two meals are talks by several Parrish Officials. There is a talk by a comedian. Around the room are booths manned by organizations interested in the welfare of senior citizens. It is a nice, constructive, social, affair. It is attended by several hundred persons.

Late flash! The Expo had three drawings for 32 inch Tv sets. One was won by John Roebuck who sits across from me at Jefferson Corner in the morning. I think he is from Gould, Arkansas.
