prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Coffee at Starbucks

Three or four times a week I stop by Starbucks for coffee. When my wife Jackie and I moved to Ruston in 2006 the Ruston Starbuck was just a construction site on the way to Louisiana Tech. We wondered what was going on the site. Then the Starbuck sign went up in the air! We had just moved from a 22 year stay in the home of Starbuck. (Washington) It seemed like a bit of home had followed us. I go there a lot. I have outlived two managers. I am on my third. (Deena)

I drive from swim class around the high school and park in a side street next to Starbuck. Keeps me off busy Tech Drive.

My parking place keeps me out of the tight parking lot. And the walk is good for me.

This delightful lady was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. We agree that Portland is a wonderful city. She remembers my order!
