prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Picture Board

About a year ago I recommended to the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Council on Aging that a picture board of the Senior Center members be constructed and placed in the entry area of the Center. They approved my recommendation. You know of course that whoever recommends a project is stuck with the job. I am enjoying the job. For several weeks I have been taking pictures of each member. I have made a print of each one and put the member's name on the print.

Today I mounted 48 4x6 prints on a board in the hall of the Senior Center. There are about 2 to 3 dozen more pictures to obtain.  I sure am better acquainted with my fellow members. I think that the board looks nice in the hall. Several members prepared and mounted the board.
