I attended the monthly meeting of the Northeast Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society, Members fondly call the Society the NLGHS. Has a nice ring, huh?
Monroe Stewert was the speaker on the subject of local cemetery maintenance. His father told him of seeing an Uncle come home from the Civil War and subsequently die from wounds suffered in that war. Monroe also played his harmonica. He played "Tenting tonight on the old campground".
