prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Jefferson Corner. Nerve Center of Lincoln Parish.

A group meets most every morning in front of the coffee pots. Here is a snapshot of  group taken at 6:30 this morning. Eleven souls. Some people attend the whole meeting. Others leave and are replaced by late comers. The group changes from time to time. The group in this picture is typical. There are usually members of the Parish Police Jury present. It is interesting to listen to the chatter about Parish business. Almost always entertaining and in good humor. They occasionally talk about fishing and deer hunting.
