prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Only one more class!

Call me sentimental but I have fallen in love with this class. It is a class in family history writing. It is taught by Deanne Groves standing on the left. Next week is our last class of eight. They have gone so fast. Deanne's class has been an inspiration to me.

From the left is Deanne, Vivian, Miles, Beth, John, Alice, Betty, Dana, Jeanne, Kramer, and Lionel. Billie was absent and I took the picture. Even counting me the class consisted of 12 nice people and an excellent instructor.

The subject for next week is spirituality. After class John is taking us all to lunch.

  1. You are just the kindest man. I appreciate your nice words and the class feels the same about you, as does the teacher.
