prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Spring Chautauqua.

I went to the first of the Ruston Spring Chautauqua series of talks the other night. Had some delicious cookies and learned something new. Nolan Eller, the man in charge of the Louisiana Tech Archives gave a talk on what is in the Tech archives. The archives hold items of interest from Northeast Louisiana in addition to Tech items.

Nolan gave a very interesting talk. The archives even have some Gutenberg items and items from the Ruston POW Camp.

Two more meetings. Come learn something new and have a cookie.
