prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Lunch at the Jackson Hole Four Seasons Hotel.

My grand daughter Corrie Faith is a Pastry Chef at the Jackson Hole Four Seasons Hotel in Teton Village. On Sunday she got off work at 11 am and invited Chad and I to join her for lunch in the hotel dining room. Boy were we ever lucky!

We were served some delicious bread. Corrie had baked it that morning..

Chad ordered a buffalo burger.

Corrie and I had ground elk on pita bread. Corrie had baked the pita bread an hour and a half before it was served to us. I must say that the bread and the pita bread were by far the best that I had ever eaten!

A view of the dining room.

Corrie invited us to the pastry kitchen. This is where Corrie puts in her workday. She is posing with pastry chef Amanda..

They were joined by Brendan the head pastry chef. If I had known that he was Corrie's Boss I would have been much friendlier!

Good stuff!

  1. I'm so jealous. Was it better than the bread in France?
