prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Bylaw Revision, Lincoln Council on Aging.

I have been spending days working on a revision of the Lincoln Council on Aging Bylaws. It is sure eating into my time for posting to the Prune Picker Blog. I have been using these documents to work up a somewhat complete revision of the bylaws.

On the computer screen is my revised bylaws. Laying on the keyboard is the Louisiana State recommended template for COA bylaws. From the left in a rack are two Lincoln Parish COA bylaw versions, Union Parish COA bylaws, and Ouachita Parish COA bylaws.

I am using the latest edition of Robert's Rules of Order as a guide in writing the revision.

Any revision must be approved by the 15 member Board of Directors. I am getting close to a final version of my proposed revised bylaws. A copy of this proposed bylaw revision will be given to each Director. Over a period of several months their suggestions will be incorporated into a revised set of bylaws for their vote.

Doesn't this look like a lot of fun?
