Every seat was full at the Dixie last night. Ricky Nelson's twin sons played film clips, showed slides, and performed Ricky Nelson music. They were very good. I enjoyed the show.
Another trip down Memory Lane! They mentioned going down the log ride at Knott's Berry Farm while their Dad performed. I have been there many times. Jackie and I lived a few miles away from Knott's for many years. We and our children spent many happy hours there. Mrs Knott prepared the best fried chicken dinner, always with a bowl of rhubarb.
Hi, I found your blog by looking to see if there was an article about my Uncle Dan Fallin's 100th birthday and it took me to your posts that you wrote last year on his 99th birthday.
ReplyDeleteDid you get to celebrate his 100th birthday with him? How is he? My name is Caroline and I am Lavon and Martha Chandler's granddaughter in Topeka, KS. So glad I found your blog! Here is mine www.ohpicklesmommy.blogspot.com
I was thrilled and happy to be at Dan's 100th Birthday Party. Took lots of pictures that will be on next prunepicker blog.
DeleteI bet that was interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt sure was. Lots of people really enjoyed the show.
