prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Last day of the FGS 2011 Conference.

I sure have been exposed to many new (to me) genealogy tools and procedures. I have lots of studying to do. I heard that 2000 people registered for this conference. That is the most in the 35 year history of the FGS.

Saturday, Sep 10, classes were:
11. Digital scrap booking. Emphasis on photo handling.
12. Build a genealogy blog.
13. Use of Mac in genealogy.
14. Hidden treasures in Ancestry.com.
15. Searching secrets in Ancestry.com
16. Twitter. Use in genealogy.

!6 hours plus of lectures. Sure was fun and informative. The pictures below are from the Lincoln Library.
