prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Mark's Trip (after about a week)

This is a map of the start of the bike trail that Mark is riding his bike on. I am as excited as if I was on the bike! He is kindly posting pics on FB. Three of them I have posted below. In a day or two he going to be at Big Bear. I have been there many times. My sister Jean drove Jackie and I up to a Big Bear cabin for a honeymoon when I got home from the Army. That was in January of 1946. 73 years ago. It is very likely (almost certain) that Mark's Mother Nancy was conceived in that Big Bear cabin. Ah! memories!

Jackie and I caught a bus in downtown Big Bear for a ride back to Pomona.
