prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

One disappointed falcon!

This pretty cement cat is on the railing outside Kerry's bedroom.

This pretty scene caught the eye of a falcon yesterday.

Kerry noticed her kittens staring out the window and took this picture. The cement cat is close to the house and surrounded by trees. It was an awkward place for the falcon to get to. A cat that size would have been a good load for the falcon. Notice the talons on the cat's neck.

  1. We have a hawk that feeds off doves...always in our front yard. There is at least one scene of murder weekly. Yesterday I caught him after his fresh kill and tried to get a pic but he spotted me and flew off with his kill in his mouth. I am hoping he does not try to get my mini doxies so I watch closely when they are outside.
