A view of the Pacific Ocean.

My daughter's house in Dana Point has such a view. It is from the third step above the stair landing. Let me show you.

Get on the magic step and look out the window over the front door.

There it is! Look hard and you can see a boat.

This gives you an idea of Bob's lawn. The lawn is about 5/1000 of an acre.

Bob also has palm trees to keep up.

Two guys go to Church.

I have two of the best men in the world for my son in laws. Bob Wright (Nancy) and John Adams (Kerry). They are both dedicated Christian believers. I am so thankful for them. Bob and I went to his Church this morning. I have enjoyed going to Church with these two men for many years.

Bob's Church is the Coast Hills Church located in the hills above his home in Dana Point.

They have great music and the minister, Chet Lowe, brought a very fundamental message that made me think.

Here is a short video of the call to worship.

Coffee and Cars. Sat morning tradition in Dana Point.

The guys bring their pretty dressed up cars to share every Sat morning at the Starbucks near my daugter's home. Bob and I always enjoy the show. Beautiful morning today.

Over the hill to Grandma's house.

Thanksgiving morning I took a short walk. This view of the San Gabriel Mountains is the view I had from Pomona while growing up. The tall peak is Mt Baldy. I made many snow trips up that mountain.

Then the Shafais and I took a leisurely ride over the hill to Grandma's house where we were to join a family gathering for turkey dinner.

That sure was a nice ride. Paymaan is a good driver. It was a nice peaceful ride from Eastvale in the San Gabriel Valley to San Clemente on the Coast. Here is Grandma's house and the view of San Clemente.

Sunset.

Pics of the gathering and meal.

This was a Wright Family gathering. The family of my son in law Bob Wright. I was so pleased to be invited and to see some of the Wright family that I had not seen for many years. It was worth the trip!

I hope that you had a nice Thanksgiving.

An evening at IN-N-OUT.

The Shaifais and I had dinner at the local IN-N-OUT last night (Thanksgiving Day Eve). I think that burgers from IN-N-OUT are the best in the world. Starting in California they have reached Dallas. Could Shreveport be in the works?

Altho this restaurant has been here many years (Norco, Calif) ordering cars were backed out on to the street.

The Shaifais from the left; Paymaan, Jack, Annie, Charlie, and Max.

Notice the burger construction. Layers of cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato, and cold fresh onion.

They will customize. Cook the onion, etc. I prefer a slice of cold fresh onion as thick and as big as the meat.

My grand daughter's house in Eastvale, Calif has rats!

Who would have thought it? Nice looking five bedroom home in a nice neighborhood.

But there are six big healthy rats in the house. Great grandson Charlie holds one.

Great grandson Max uses a rat for a hat!

Charlie snuggles with one.

Charlie and Max each hold one. I have found out that the rats live here and each of the six has a name!

Red headed Jack joins his brothers at the rat den. From left the Shafai great grandsons are Jack 14, Charlie 10, and Max 9.

John has to carry four guns to go hunting.

S

Since duck season opened John has to carry four guns when he goes hunting out at the lease.

1 12 gauge shot gun for ducks.
2 270 caliber rifle for deer.
3 22 rifle for squirrels
4 22 pistol for hogs.

Life can get complicated for a hunter in the Piney Woods of North Louisiana.

I am proud of my clean carpet.

This is the first thorough cleaning of my fifth wheel trailer carpet since my wife Jackie had it installed. It is her carpet and I felt bad that I had let it get so dirty since she passed away 11 years ago.

I had a great carpet cleaning crew. Rhonda Ray, her Mom Rosa Lee Blakley, and Flip-Flop.

In addition to being a great carpet cleaner, Rhonda is very charming.

Rhonda asked me to take off my shoes and feel how clean the carpet was. It felt fluffy and clean.

Rhonda takes time off to love Flip-Flop, her three legged GP.

Rosa was the top CEO on the job.

William Florian

Florian was lead singer with the New Christy Minstrels. Single handed (wonderful voice and splendid guitar) he led an audience at the the Lincoln Parish Library down a nostalgia trail of wonderful songs. Complete with side notes and history. We all felt like we had spent a fun filled hour and a half. Lots of happy people.

In the final number Florian had members of the audience join him.

This man in front sure does look familiar!

Here is a minute sample of the show.
