prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Ethan was nine of 143 over the finish line!

It was a beautiful morning at the Lincoln Parish Park. There was a beautiful sunrise. Ethan was ready for the race. I do not know all the details of the race but it is well attended and held every year.

Ethan confers with a friend before the race.

After the race Ethan lines up with other runners. He is the third man from the right. Boy can he run! He came in at the nine spot. Out of 143 runners! This photo and the sunset photo was shot by Joy Newberry, Ethan's Mom.

Ethan works hard to be a good runner. He runs every day.

This is a video of the start of the race. It is exciting. A better video of the start is one shot by Joy. She has posted it on her FaceBook page.
