A month ago my blood pressure was going higher. I only take one heart medicine now. Atenolol. My doctor is Dr Carter with the VA in Monroe. I asked Dr Carter if I should increase my Atenolol. She said yes if my heart rate did not fall under 55. On May 10 I increased the dose from 50 to 100 mg. My blood pressure dropped. My heart rate is now around 55.
