I was shopping in the Monroe Target Store about 2:40 this afternoon. I had about a dozen articles in my cart. The essentials of life. Such as cookies and shaving cream. About $40 worth of stuff. I was about to check out when a lady on the speaker system told us that the store must be evacuated. I am slow and was probably the last customer out. Everyone were in their cars and leaving. The lot was empty by the time I started my car. I went on home to Ruston.
Employees had been asked to meet in the employee parking lot.
My cart of stuff is still in the store. I know that I am going to run low on cookies.
PS The evening news stated that the store was closed for three hours for a bomb scare. Today was first time for me being evacuated for a bomb scare! Hope it is the last time.
