We are Charlie.

Another phrase enters history. "Give me liberty or give me death"is joined by "We are Charlie". And holding a pen is a historic and meaningful gesture.

My heart was touched by the story from Paris today.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me". Some people take a very serious and vindictive view of being mocked, don't they? Some people by the time they are 32 or 34 are convinced that they should kill people because of the words they use or the cartoons that they present. I hope that they are a very small minority and can be persuaded to cool off and to be tolerant. Could we hold serious and prolonged conventions or meetings for discussions? I mean a meeting that might last years and involve every people group on earth. The goal of the meeting would be peace on earth. Such a goal would be worthy of a huge meeting.

Do we have to kill to convince? That policy does not seem to give positive results.
