More bird watching and hog dressing.

The chickadees and the titmouse's are back. Tell me. Why are they always together? It is like they had the same mother and were raised in the same nest. Here is a picture I took yesterday. There is one of each on the feeder that was so thoughtfully hung out side my window by my son in law John Morgan Adams.

John got his twentieth or thirtieth hog this year the other day. He brought it home to butcher for the entertainment of his grand children and his father in law..

John uses the pioneer method of hog butchering.

So, that is where bacon, sausage, and pork chops come from.

The very first time I met John was in Jena, Louisiana a few years ago. Jackie, Kerry and I drove out to his trailer in the woods. John had a hog hung up between two trees and was butchering it. I wonder how many hogs John has killed in his life.
